In order to check your e-mails from home or on the road, you need a VPN connection to the HFT on the device from which you want to check your e-mails (notebook, mobile phone or desktop computer).

If you are at the HFT in one of the HFT's wifi networks (Eduroam, HFTwifi, HFTwlan...), you do not need a VPN connection for the email service.

Quick guide:

1. Download and install the VPN client (according to your operating system). You will need your university access data for the download.
2. After successful installation, start the software and enter the correct VPN server address according to your group affiliation (student,...) and connect by clicking "connect".
3. Enter your user name (without @hft-stuttgart.de) and your password.
4. Accept the notification window with "accept".
5. You will receive a message that you are connected.
6. Start your e-mail client (e.g. Outlook). If it was already started, please close it first and start it again.

Now you can send and receive your e-mails from your HFT account.
